Hey guys. I would like to see any ratchet at that. It doesn't have to be 3/8'', but I also had a question. I have a few normal (~7-8'') 3/8'' ratchets already (craftsman, Snapon, Mac) and was interested in getting another as I am not a fan of the Mac or craftsman feel. I have the Snappy, but would like to purchase an 88 tooth Matco this time (finer feel). Here is my issue: Go with the 8'' and have another regular size one, try an 11'' for more torque but limited in space (have others for this situation), or try the 12'' locking flex head? Not a flex head guy as they always move when applying torque. Locking (my Mac) I cant stand and always manage to hit the unlock (not a Mac guy and was given to me). I guess I am asking if you would go with the 11'' fixed or 12'' locking flex and why? Does one do better for one area, situation, etc. ?

I love my Snapon dual80 ratchets and for the most part I use 3/8 drive or smaller.

Yes, yes and yes. The question is open-ended and unanswerable.

One can get by with a single fixed 8" ratchet. Did it for years back in the po'boy days. The others, longer, fixed, flex, bent, are nice to have but not absolutely necessary. On the other hand, if one has them all, one will be better than another for a particular operation.

A good 3/8 locking flex will change your life...
