3/8 Universal Impact Sockets

I want to buy 3/8 swivel impact socket sets in metric and inch. Both IR and Sunex have 7 piece sets in each for about the same price. Any advice on which to get? Any other suggestions? Thanks

Not sure why you say they're not available. I was able to load them into my cart.

These are pretty expensive. I would look at Grey Pneumatic sets if these are too pricey.

I see where you found them now.. under "Automotive" catalog, then automotive tools, then impact sockets. My bad.. I looked under "Tools" then mechanic tools. Don't ya just love sears.com ?

I would go with Grey Pneumatic or Genius Tools impacts sockets. We sell a lot of Grey to our heavy equipment guys in the southeast. They make one heck of a socket.

Bringing this back up, do people like the deep universal impacts? Or are the shallows the way to go?

I would say shallow for sure. In the rare cases that you will need a deep swivel, just throw a regular deep socket on the end of a swivel u-joint.

I keep some deep for exhaust work mostly.
