Hello;

I have an old style earthquake. The retainer spring on the drive was always problematic and finally broke.

Can anyone suggest someplace find one? I didn't see any at one of the local (decent) hardware stores, but there are some more stores a bit farther from me.

An online source, perhaps? I google failed.

Would anybody be able to measure thiers and give me an idea of the right size?

I couldn't find the old model guide, but I did find the following picture from the new model manual, to help clarify what I'm talking about.

Many thanks in advance.

did you try calling the 1800 number at the bottom of the page? People have obtained parts for other items from HF by calling before.

I will try that, for sure. Good idea, not sure why I didn't think of it.

I guess I was hoping I could figure out what it is called and get one locally, or at least "semi-locally".

Thank you, Skin.
