Well it's time for me to get in on the garage makeover fun. I'm the proud owner of a 3 car tandem that needs to actually hold three cars. A year ago it could barely hold two and it holds three now, so it's already come quite a long way.
For this phase, step 1 was to get the kayaks off the wall and on the ceiling. Here you can see how much wall the yaks were consuming as well as the occupant of the tandem area.

Next is to clear the shelves over the Exocet in the tandem rear. I've already had one item fall on the car, so that was enough of the open shelf thing. This area is the primary focus of the exercise.

I'm hoping that a lot of the mess can go into the two Performax tall cabinets I got at Menards. One has been assembled and trial fit on top of the 12"x3" curb on the exterior wall. It seems like it will be sturdy like this but the wife isn't sold.

Some of the bulky items are proving to be challenging to find homes for: two road bikes, a Burley kid trailer, the mower/snowblower (whichever is out of season) and my stupidly large stack of charcoal. The RC airplanes all need to get out of the garage to get stored in the basement workshop.
Short term goals:
-Eliminate shelves over Exocet
-General decluttering
Long term goals:
-Insulate the ceiling and door
-Paint existing cabinets to match Performax
-Paint walls
-Racedeck
-Lighting
-Ceiling Fan(s)
