At four times the price! 2k is pretty attainable for a home garage, I think this could end up having some neat home applications. Custom car parts and designs.
On another note... Just imagine, this could take keying someones car to whole new level! CNC etched dong on someones hood for taking up two parking spots!

Before anyone jumps on the new technology, give it about a year. In that time prices will come down for the home person and the technology will expand. Just look at all of the things you can do from a SmartPhone today. And the Apps just keep growing for what you can do.
And no, I'm not caught up and don't have a SmartPhone yet but will get one the next go-around. One has to keep up or be left back at the gate I guess.

New tool for those booths at county fairs that make address / name signs. I'd bet an experienced guy with a router might still be faster though.

Sears was selling the compucarve years ago. They no longer offer it under the Craftsman name, but the manufacturer is still selling it for far less than $2000:

Watching that video, I just had to give a major *facepalm* to the cuts they were making... If you can't do those by hand then you don't need to be using any power tools... period...
