Sure thought I got the idea here on Garage Journal, but not finding it now. Either way - I got the idea somewhere several years ago and build me a couple of these 3 sided boxes.
They are 12"x18"x24" with one side of each dimension covered.
They are so ridiculously handy, they get used for everything from step stools, material supports, seat, paint etc.
Flip them around to use the different heights.
