I pulled a gas leaf blower out a dumpster and got it running nicely. I do not have the plastic tube for the air to blow out of. Any ideas where to find a three inch outside diameter pipe that I could use?

Thanks,

Jim

It might not be the most cost-effective source, but I would bet you could find something from McMaster Carr. They typically sell pipe/tube/etc by the foot and since you probably only need a 2-3' piece for a blower it would be shippable w/o major cost.

Have you tried a small engine repair shop that may have a few dead ones in the pile you could get parts off of?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into the 2-1/2” pipe option. Yes I could probably locate the oem part but that is a last resort for me. This is just a project to amuse myself with and hopefully get some use out of the blower.

I’m also thinking about using flat plastic sheeting rolled up to make a tube.

Thanks!

use a heat gun to soften the 2-1/2" pipe and while its pliable push it onto your blower. It will stretch and when it cools it will be a snug fit. You can mist it with some water to cool it faster.
