To all the garage owners on here I have 3 important questions for you:

1. What is the one item currently in your garage that you could not live without?
2. What is the one item currently in your garage that you wouldn't miss?
3. What is the one item missing from your current garage that would make it absolutely perfect?

"Item" could be anything from a tv, to a bar fridge, to a specific tool, to a vehicle, etc... No restrictions.

1. What is the one item currently in your garage that you could not live with?

Do you mean "1. What is the one item currently in your garage that you could not live without?" or were you right the first time?

Assuming you are correct first time

1. My wife claiming some of the space for her stuff (see here for details of what I am getting at)
2. I dont use my blasting cabinet anymore. There is a local guy who does it for pennies so I don't bother using it
3. Apart from a winning lottery ticket, I have always hankered after a McEvoy.

assuming you meant "without":

1) Air Compressor, with heater a close second
2) If I don't need it I probably already got rid of it...OK, I wouldn't miss the bicycle I haven't used in 10 years.
3) 4 post lift

Not to derail this thread, but what's with the comments about radio static from the flourescent lights? Is that really a problem? Never heard of that before.

1. Could not live without?
Forklift, didn't know it till I lucked into one and it's been extremely handy from the day it arrived.
2. Wouldn't miss?
dust and dirt
3. Missing from your current garage that would make it absolutely perfect?
A Rotary or Bendpack (undecided) ~12,000 lb two post lift would be great, but would still be a long way from "making the garage absolutely perfect"

1. What is the one item currently in your garage that you could not live without?
Just having a garage. I like having some clean floor space and work benches after years of working in the driveway.

2. What is the one item currently in your garage that you wouldn't miss?
Anvils. Multiple anvils. They always seem like a good idea when I see them come up for sale. I think one would be plenty.

3. What is the one item missing from your current garage that would make it absolutely perfect?
Air conditioning -- but I'm working on that.

Can't live without the garage itself. As I've not even broken ground on it yet I'm fading away......................
Wouldn't miss anything that didn't belong in there (once it's built).
Make it perfect. A Mig/Tig welder.......no wait, a blaster and blast cabinet.........nope, a lift............then again hot and cold water and drainage would be nice.................and a bog (loo, WC, John, crapper).................a box of cash that never runs out..........
