  1. Electricity - Let's face it. Our best toys need juice to work, and we've got to have enough light in order to see what we're doing.
  2. Clutter - Stuff always ends up getting placed in there. But because of this forum I've done a good job of going through my stuff to see what I want to keep, move to the basement (no shed), or toss. I get great satisfaction from hauling sh!t to the dump.
  3. What's Missing? - Since I cannot make the space bigger, I'd love to have a few (folding) chairs to rest my weary *** while taking a break and enjoying a cold Corona/MGD/Yeungling from the fridge I moved up from the basement. Since I started re-doing my garage, I now have more stuff in it than when I started, but the space is better organized and much more pleasant to be in. When holding only one car, my garage is a new-found room for the house where people now hang out.

1. HEAT!
2. Small "room" in the corner built as a workshop but rarely used as such.
3. A lift - I work on and restore cars in my spare time and a lift would definitely make that process MUCH easier.

1. What is the one item currently in your garage that you could not live without?
Nothing. Every tool has a specific job. If I didn't need it I wouldn't have it.

2. What is the one item currently in your garage that you wouldn't miss?
The coolant exchanger that I just purchased. I don't use it as much as I thought I would.

3. What is the one item missing from your current garage that would make it absolutely perfect?
Two post lift. I would love to have one but I just don't think I have the room for one.

I know I kind of contradicted myself with the coolant exchanger. It is nice to have but I have lived without one for a while and could probably get by without it. "When" I use it though it is nice due to the less mess it makes. Mike.

I must have a floor jack.

I don't need 4 baseball bats.

I would love more CDs...death metal, classic country and some Creedence.

1 OXYGEN (we do need to breath)
2 the property tax assement for the barn.
3 a concrete floor would be the first thing I need. After that insulation, lighting and whatnot, then maybe a rotating array of lascivious young females with father issues.

1. Could not live without?
horizontal band saw - best shop purchase ever...

2. Wouldn't miss?
Other people's projects...

3. Missing from your current garage that would make it absolutely perfect?
It will never be "perfect", but a bigger shop would be a great start... Then a bigger mill, and a bigger lathe, and a lift, and.....

3. Lift... or computer/Flat screen, but I will be getting that in their soon.

1. Gotta have a flat, smooth uncluttered floor.
2. Could do without anything not shop related. The shop space is premium space. No need to keep lawn mowers etc. in a heated space.
3. Would be great to have more time to work in my shop, to spend with my sweety pie, to sleep.
