I'm installing a 3-way light switch in my garage using the layout shown. I've read this layout no longer meets NEC. Can I just run a neutral from the last light to the last switch box in order to meet NEC?

Since I'm using 1/2 EMT for the run, am I exempt from the requirement for the extra neutral?

Thanks!

If you are referring to every switch box needs a neutral in it, then yes it does. But in your case, if you are using conduit, the code says if you can add a neutral easily later, if needed. Then you are ok without having one in there now. If you were using a cable assembly, like MC or NM-b, then yes, it would have to be installed now.

Im not sure, i would have to check. I think they removed that requirement from the 2020 NEC, Only one state has adopted that code, its not yours, one up east, to my knowledge
