I joined this forum when we bought our 4 acres of land about 3 years ago and have been lurking on this site and taking notes since. It was a long a stressful process of building our new home as I was the builder with a separate full time job.

The garage itself was built at the same time, nothing crazy special, a 30x30 metal building. (2) 8x10 doors in the front. (1) 8 x8 door in the rear.

Long story short, it took 6 months after we moved to get it almost complete. Thanks to all the great posts in this site, I grabbed many ideas and helpful hints during the process. I still have a lot of electrical to do and tools to purchase, but those are my after work projects. I also have two large footers as well for a future lift. Need to save up for the toys now!

Looks really good. Got any pics of the other side.

Some questions for you.
-how thick did you do the concrete
-what cabinets do you have on the wall there.
-what the total height of the garage.

I ask because I'm wanting to do a 30x40 building myself. So I have been gathering info also.

Thanks guys..

The MC ( motorcycle I assume ?), is a 1983 Honda nighthawk. My dad bought it when I was 10 and it only has around 6k miles on it. Currently I have the carbs off as it sat for 5 years, but should be good once it is all cleaned out.

1. The shop has 12' legs, center ceiling height is around 15'.
2. The concrete is 4", 3000 psi with fiber mesh. The footers are 16x16x16. Over kill, but not a big deal to do when digging.
3. The cabinets are actually high end, but we're free as I am a manager for a residential home builder and they were in a model home that was being updated. I painted them all to match with a rustoleum gray paint that the Home Depot has (oil based) so it covers excellent.
