Hey guys,

For anyone needing to change or repair his car side or rear windows, I found a great 20% off discount code on iAutoGlass: CT20R.

You can find there discounts for windshield replacement as well if you need it.

Enjoy! :)

Anyone here actually used Safelite?
I've read some pretty bad reviews about them.

My insurance company sent them down to try to "repair" a small crack in my windshield for free. They show up and say there's nothing they can do because the crack reaches the edge of the glass. Obviously this is the insurance company's fault for not asking, not Safelite's. But anyway, did some research online and found some horrible reviews about Safelite.

I may just go straight to the Subaru dealership to have the windshield replaced.

There was just a thread on here about one of our members with a long, horrible experience with them.

Safelite has a lot of locations. I wouldn't necessarily judge the whole brand based on a 'bad experience' in another part of the country. Do your research, check our Yelp, etc

I can only speak of my experience with them:

I used them a couple of years ago for a new windshield on my Pathfinder. The tech that came out worked for Safelite for over 20 years! He was very professional, vacuumed out the car, the glass looked great - very happy customer

Recently needed a windshield in my S10 pickup. Same thing - I called Safelite and asked for the same tech, but he was off sick. The other tech that came out was just as good. I would definitely use them again

Of course, your mileage may vary. I *believe* all the stores are company owned, so if you had a problem I would think you would would talk to 'corporate' and get it straightened out. Safelite has been in business a looong time

Wherever you go just ask for factory glass. They have to give it to you if you ask. Otherwise they show up with their generic brand.

There's a local shop here that deals only in Pilkington and PPG (now PGW).

Both make OEM glass for many brands, I would trust them completely.

Safelite is filled with horror stories, both on quality of glass and workmanship. Saving that 50 bucks is not worth the hassle.
