I see sets like that on e-bay all the time,do these people think someone is just going to fork out 30 grand? I'm not about to say that that equipment doesn't hold a substantial monetary value, but I just can't see anyone being able to cough it up at once. The last time I ran inventory on my tools and equipment I came up around 50k,but I could never get high enough to think that I could fetch it all at once. Rant over, thanks!

You have to think the market for someone to buy something like this is pretty small.
Sure there a lot of people who see this kind of value in high quality tools, but they probably already have a lot of what this guy is selling.
People who are starting from scratch (maybe fresh out of school) don't have the dough to pay for it all up front.

Yeah, I see this all the time - the sellers have a fundamental flaw in their thinking. Yes, maybe they spent 50K on tools over the 25 years they were working, and yes, may they think it's worth 30K or 15K or whatever right now - but the fact is, they probably bought all that stuff at $100/week.

The chances of finding someone who's got $30K sitting in their pocket ready to run down and buy 25 years worth of tools all at once is just about zero.

I dont think any one is gonna drop 30k cash on anything these days.

Ive tried to help a few sellers on C/L part out some boxes and even offered to buy some of the items in the box, and none of them seam to want to do it. I just dont understand how these people think someone is gonna drop 15-30k in cash, it just makes no sence.

the only way that would sell all together is if someone recently lost all of their tools in some sore of fire, theft, or similar situation and had a nice insurance check. Possibly if a few guys went in on it and split it up between them and selling off the extra. Either way more $$'s than i have to play w/ so it doesn't matter to me.

He's been posting that setup for almost a year on ebay. There have been offers, but apparently not enough since it's on craigslist now. I would like to have the end cab off that setup to match my krl.
