30x32 Pole Barn build

I have gotten many ideas and tips from here, and finally have started my own . The plan is to do everything myself. Built the pad already, going to start digging holes and setting posts tomorrow.

Got all the holes dug today, added a little concrete to the bottom of the holes for the post to sit on. post are going in tomorrow,

did you buy a kit, or are you just buying the parts as you go?

Buying it all myself, priced kits through different companies, shopped around alot and found that I can save money getting it myself.

Update from today, got all the poles set and square..took time but came out perfect

How is it working with that red clay "soil?"

It's select fill dirt, pretty much the best stuff around here for house pads, shop pads, it compacts very well.

Framed all the windows today, and got half of the 2x 12s up, there was a delay with the trusses, they should be in by the end of the week. Still have to frame out for the walk thru door and garage door headers.

Looks awesome but you should have went BIGGER!!!!!!!

Here's a tip that you probably already know but might help someone in the future.

Even though it's square at the bottom, that frame is going to twist a little in the sun before you get your siding on. We used several large ratchet straps hooked together to pull mine back into square before we started running metal and had to pull it several inches. Hook around the bottom of one post, across the building and around the top of the opposite post and crank down on it. It's amazing how much those things can move around.
