Hey guys, i'm new here, but have been reading for a while. I'm soon to be building a 30x32 with a 16x8 door. Just wondering if anybody this setup or something close to it I could see a pic of. I'm worried that the 30' will look weird with just a single 16' door. Thanks

personally id put the door as far to 1 side as possible then your vehicles can be pulled in as far to the side as allowed and not be near all your tools, storage and benches. it also leaves 1 giant storage space versus the space divided in half

I built a 24' x 24' with a 16' door to one side. The door was 1' off the south wall. It looked and worked great.

I am new to posting, but have been lurking for quite a while. I just built my 30x30 garage with 12' ceiling this last year. Still need insulation and finish up some other things, but I put a 18x10 garage door on the front that is pretty much all the way to one side. I will see if I can put some pics up.:D

Put in an 18FT door and make the building at least 10Ft tall with a 9Ft high door, you will thank us all later. And yes put it to one side so you have work space on the other side.

Yeah, my father in law said i should put in a 20 footer. I guess i left out the part where i'm scrounging for materials on Craigslist, and found a great deal on a 16x8 insulated door w the opener so i bought it. I want to off center it, but when i ran that by the wife she didn't go for it. Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys. I'm looking to start this thing in a month or so, and i will post some pics.
