Hi everyone, just finished up the 30x40 pole barn here in NC. This is actually my second build in the last few years since we moved a year after building the last one... but hey, the three year wait was worth the extra size!

Started out with having to demolish what we referred to as the “murder shed” since the inside looked like something out of a horror movie like Saw. The outside was nice but for some reason the floor was only gravel and 20 years of moisture wreaked havoc mold etc, it was time for it to go.

There was about a 4 degree slope so there was a bit of ground prep and some tree removal but it went pretty smoothly. It’s amazing how these guys knocked this up in about 7 days.fc9f5ed64a51e827f7316e98315a5397.jpg11e3582c9ba26b4fdbd99314c8254d05.jpg

I can't believe they did it that fast... What are you going to be doing in the new shop? Ag? car work? Nice new building!

That is beautiful! I've always had a soft spot for "traditional" farm colors with the red exterior and silver roof. Blown away by how fast they built that!

Thanks for the compliments all! Yeah it really is amazing how quick they knock these up, that’s the beauty of pole barns.

The missus picked the colors, was worried it might be a little bright... But I think it turned out great!

It’s my metal/car fabrication workshop so I’ll be installing a lift, etc after fitting out the inside. Doors arrive next week.

I have the same type building going up next month. Was anything placed in hole under posts? Poured Concrete? Sack of dry concrete?
Concrete block?

Howdy from Chatham County. Nice build. Where are you in NC? Your avatar suggests a track guy, any more pics and plans for the garage?
