30x40 shop in sc

I figured I would go ahead and start a thread. My shop is still under construction. but is getting close to being done. its a 30x40 with 12'walls and two 10' doors and one man door. also will have an upstairs, accessable from the outside.





they started siding today, should be done today. they also started roughing in the wiring. I will post more pics as the work continues.
the shop will be used for my welding, messing with cars and jeeps. and for dad to piddle in.

Looks like a great shop! Will the upstairs be finished, or just for storage?

What is the process to get the floor so nice and shiney and flat? lovely big space you have there

right now it will not be finished. but Im sure when things settle down and the downstairs is all done we will start up there doing the work ourselves. Not sure if they did anything special on the concrete. It has been sealed though.
I went over and checked today, they have just about all the siding and trim up. as well as the man doors in. Im sure they will finish today. now waiting on electrical.

shop is pretty much complete besides from exterior painting. The reason for the rail running around the inside of the shop is we used two different sizes of wood... the price b/w 7/16 and 5/8 was pretty big, so we put the 5/8 where it counts where we will be hanging things. I will come back and paint all the trim and the rails another color when things settle down. as well as touch up from the quick spray job with the white. I went ahead and hung the cabinets from the old garage as well as some of the peg board. I plan to build a work bench that will wrap the back corner under the cabinets and peg board.
