I'm getting started on a 30x40 build. I really wish it was bigger, but this is what I can afford right now. I'm trying to figure an interior layout with all my existing tools, and thinking about what I might still purchase. With that said, below is what I have layed out so far. It is to scale. I would appreciate suggestions.

Blue machines are metalworking, red is woodworking.

Think about doors on opposite walls of the woodworking space so you can run long material through your table saw or planer. I would add a 4x8 rolling outfeed table for the TS in addition to a work/assembly table. PITA to move all your stuff for one more rip. I'd toss the RAS and get a 12" sliding mitre saw. Set up a nice long bench for it. storage drawers under both wings. (see my old shop)
