Greetings from the cornfields of Iowa! We have been in our homestead almost 2 months now and are loving country life. I am in the process currently of obtaining bids for the woodworking shop. Hopefully it will be 30x40 with 10’ walls. The first vendor is coming this afternoon to discuss his quote. I have asked for quotes from 3 companies, all identical specifications. I hope I won’t need to scale back due to budget constraints, but time will tell. The two pics attached show type of building and approximately where on the property it will go. Have all my tools in my attached garage currently, but would love to put our vehicles inside eventually. Will post quote prices as I obtain them.

Sure glad we backed out of the in town house and opted for country life. It is definitely amazing!

Pole project for now. That may change however. My bride wants me to get at least one stick build quote with 2x6 construction. It may not be financially possible due to foundation work requirements.

Looks alot like my 30x40x12' building! Looking forward to your build thread. Shirk Pole Buildings built it for just over $17K in 2017.

Very nice indeed! First quote is back. 38k with no insulation or interior finishes. Inside would be an additional 6800. Oh yes, didn’t include dirt work or electrical or hvac.

$38K for a pole bldg shell ? You mention no dirt work, so is this with or without a concrete floor ?

I had Cleary buildings put up my pole building a couple months ago. 30'x30'x12'. (1) 16'x10' overhead door. (1) man door. No windows or anything special. Gable end overhangs. Steel sided. Steel roof. No interior. $16k installed. Site prep was about $3500 with 9 loads of gravel including a 60' gravel driveway. $4500 for concrete. Approximately $24k total so far. I'm in east central Iowa.
