I am finally getting a shop after 15 years of waiting......

Double bubble wrap all over it when it is built. Pole barn construction.
I have purchased 4x20x1.5 sheets of foam board that was used under the roof of a turkey shed for insulation in it. I bought enough to do the walls and ceiling. Plan on putting metal over the ceiling.....trusses on 4 ft centers.

What should I do as far as insulation other than this.....???? I don't have a money tree... but I am thinking of maybe blowing 6-8 inches on the ceiling above the 1.5 inch foam board and tin. ???? not sure cost.

the walls will have a dead air space between bubble wrap and foam board......should I put fiberglass in it? I have a outside wood furnace ( I sell them) to use for heat....it is rated 100k btu.

Since I have waited so long I want to be able to work in here comfortable any weather.......hot or cold.

Share your thoughts on what you have done please and thanks for your time!

Looking forward to helping others on here too.

I just finished a 30X40X12 also. Bubble wrap on the ceiling only. I am thinking of framing between the 8 ft. on center posts and putting in 2in foam boards. I may stuff fiberglass behind it. I don't have any wrap on the outside walls and dust is coming in pretty easily. I want to get it sealed up before winter. I haven't thought about heat or a/c source yet, that's down the road a bit. The builder offered to put steel up on the ceiling but he wanted $3800 for it. I would need to blow insulation in after that. Jury is still out on that one.

I bought 4 foot wide, 80 to 100 ft long rolls of insulation like they put in metal buildings........30 bucks a roll.........and with the 4x20x 1.5 foam board I have all going on the inside and the double bubble on the outside next to the tin. I should be set pretty good.........a good find today...he has more insulation........sw missouri area.
