Nightmare scenario with my original builder means that a project that was started Aug of last year is looking like it's finally coming to finish soon. Electrical going in next week and then metal siding/roof/garage doors after that. Currently looks a little bare but I'm happy to see it progressing:

Wooooo thats tall! I think you can build quite a 2nd level!

What are your plans for A/C? I was in the area recently and almost melted away. :)

Did you builder suddenly fall into higher paying housing work and push you off to the back burner?

My builder was playing a shell game with funds which I was stupid enough to get ahead of the construction progress. After many, many delays I finally just canned him and went with someone else. I plan to closed cell insulated really well and hope that the insulation and lots of fans (overhead and floor) will help keep it tolerable in the summer for a few years at least. Eventually I will install AC though to make it nice year round.

Please take pics, with siding and roofing as installed. This sounds like a fantastic plan, learning as I go following your project.

Lamentation continues. The roof wasn't papered over, just the OSB with requisite gaps so the lights and fans got a nice rinsing off with the rain Saturday night and Sunday. Got up on a ladder this morning with a broom to drain the lights, no telling how the fans are doing. Roof is now papered over so at least things can dry out... Guess we'll see when they hook up to the mains. About $2300 in stuff getting soaked, and those fans have been out of stock for a while.

Slightly more finished. Front still needs an additional shade area and back and front need the gutters finished. Swept up the inside this evening. Hopefully I'm able to powerwash and then lay down coloring in the morning.
Hard to tell, but the colors match up very well with the main and trim colors of the house.

Chalky look now that it's mostly dry. Some spots were resistant to take a stain. Will try to respray them after everything is nice and dry in hopes they were just saturated from the power wash.
