Yes, all good here. Thank you.

I'm out by the Augusta airport, so the tornado passed about 1 mile west of the house - it's the second tornado I've actually heard. I've seen quite a few. We were very fortunate. The worst thing for us was Kellogg closing between Santa Fe Lake road and the YMCA for a few days. Made it a hassle to get out of the area.

Very minor issue compared to some of the losses around us. BTW.. If you're reading this in the area and you need cleanup help in the area, drop me a message. I've got a truck, car hauler, tools and some storage space if you need it.

No clean up issues here.....we just got a lot of rain and wind.......I am looking to cash in on all the free firewood.....LOL

Looks great! Curious what your roof slope is? Your layout with attic space is very similar to what I have in the design phase.

10/12 pitch

With that pitch, load bearing (60psf) floor trusses, the room upstairs has 8'2" ceiling (8' wide until the roof begins to slope on both sides. One end as you can see from the picture is leaving room for a stairwell.

My neighbor has almost the same garage 30x50, but his is a 12/12 pitch.

It's been a while since I posted anything, or actually did anything meaningful to the garage. But below are some pictures of my weekend project........insulation in the walls behind the OSB, installed the OSB and built a miter saw workbench.

Eventually, the workbench will extend left to the pony wall and then all the way to the right and then past the blue 10' ladder. Sink will be installed near the ladder location.

Little update on the garage....the second floor flooring has been installed and the 18x16 Poker room has been framed in. I will post pictures of the upstairs later today.

The garage ceiling and walls has been insulated with R19 batts and the ceiling has been sheetrocked. I am going to paint the ceiling this afternoon. I will post pictures of the painted ceiling later, probably after the lights and ceiling fans have been installed.

So the first 2 photos are of the upstairs, the main storage area and then from the POV inside the Poker room.

The last photo is of the garage with the sheetrock installed and painted and the lights and ceiling fans installed.

Any ideas from the crowd for a wall paint scheme after I install the OSB?

I live near Peabody which is probably 50 miles from you. Love seeing shed builds from nearby. Got a little dusting of snow this Christmas. Stay warm!

finally got the bulk of OSB up and installed an exterior door separating the garage floor from the second floor to prevent heat migration and wasps and mud dobbers.

New updates on the garage.....the majority of the OSB is installed and painted...all I have left is over the garage doors and as section by closet that goes under the stairs.

As far as the painting goes, 1 coat of Kilz(water based) primer and 1 coat of "Polished Silver"(4008-1B) from Lowes. As you can see the outlet covers have been installed on some of the outlets and switches...I will install the remainder in a day or two after the paint cures. I don't want the covers to stick to the walls.

Next is installing the corrugated steel. The plan is to install them anywhere there are no built in work benches 30" up from the top of the stem wall.

I also installed a 65" 4k Samsung TV. For those wondering I have a Deco Mesh system set up, 3 Decos in the house and 1 on the garage, so I am able to get about 30mbs Wi-Fi in the garage.

The out of place light bulb in the below picture on the landing is connected to the lights on the second floor. It's sole purpose is so I don't forget to turn off the lights upstairs, which I often did before I added it.

I am thinking of adding a stripe of some kind about 8' up to break up the grey paint.....not sure if I should do red or white...THOUGHTS ANYONE?

This sign will hang on the landing and be plugged in the recessed outlet that still has blue tape around it.

It has been a while since I posted any pictures............but there has been enough progress so I thought I should post some more.

First coat of tung oil has been applied, tonight I will apply the second and then tomorrow I will mix 50/50 poly/mineral spirits and begin the application of several coats of it. The lowers will be built and installed later. Early next week the sink and faucet will go in and then the backsplash.

Here is another update....one I at least am proud of, it took me while but I got one bank of cabinets completed. The drawers are all 2' deep, with 100 pound soft close slide. The material for the drawers is baltic birch I purchased from a lumber yard....not the Home Depot stuff....I am not saying the Home Depot stuff is bad, but the real nice baltic birch is much better quality with more layers and no voids.

FYI, the sink has been up and running for a LONG time now.
