Put the downpayment down for sa 30x50x14 tube metal garage. Going to be starting the footers next week and I can't decide on where I want to put the lift. I am doing a 4-5" floor which is acceptable for the lifts I have looks at but I would like to go ahead and dig a little deeper in the area I plan to put the lift.
I have read and a lot of people say that you SHOULD NOT angle the lift as it ends up eating up more floor space. However I am doing a 14x14 door on the gable end and was thinking about angling mine to that I could still have a 50 ft deep area to pull a camper, long boat, fire truck ETC in if needed. Does anyone here have a 30x50 with an angled lift ? In the photo attacched, the 14x14 door in on the left side, the box labeled RM is a heated room for my pressure tank and water heater, the loft area is a 10x10 im going to make for storage above and tool boxes, work bench, cabinets below. the loft will be about 7 ft from floor to bottom of floor joist above.
any input is appreciated

Not understanding, 14' ceiling and 14' high door? Curious about how that is going to work. Thanks

Yesir. 14 ft side walls. 14x14 roll up door. Ceiling height in the center is closer to 17 ft as it is a tubular metal building

Me, I would make the loft area a little bigger , maybe 10x15 and put the water heater up there to get rid of the RM room in that corner.
I put my WH up above the bathroom so it wouldn't take valuable floor space.
Not sure about the lift location but angled like that just seems awkward.
I'd tend to put it in that top right corner on your drawing. So back of shop on the left.
Or put the loft on the back left and the lift in the back on the right. That way the 10x10 door area wouldn't be an issue if things were parked there.

My plan is to have the WH and pressure tank (I’m on well water) in that room with a sink so that I don’t have to heat the whole shop in the winter. Put a little wall heater in there set at 50 and let it go. My original plan was the top right corner of the drawing for the lift. That just makes me lose being able to park anything over 30ish feet in the shop (camper, boat and truck, fire engine etc. ) still not for sure on which route I want to go

I agree with Codyboy with one exception. Why stop half way across the building with a 15' loft.
Build the loft ALL the way across the back wall - 30'
How you getting up/down to the loft
