5 years ago my wife and I bought her grandma's land and farmstead. The house was an old grainery that her grandpa had move on in the 30's and built additions to as the family got bigger. There was also a two stall garage that was build out of used lumber around 50's that has seen it's better days and a 30x50 pole barn that he had put up in 81 before he had passed.
The house had flooded due to heavy rain and had become full of mold. The electrical was also a major fire concern. So it had to be torn down and burned.
The shop had a dirt floor and was full of nothing but broken junk from my wife's uncle that was a pack rat. After the junk was cleared then we hauled out 20 yards of dirt from the floor to get down to a good base.
They called the sliding that was on it Corigaded Cardboard
Anyway it had to come down.
The cement was pour 6" thick, rebar in 1.5' grid, with hi tensile strength because I will be putting in a two post lift. It was poured in two different sections to give the two man crew time to work it to a smooth finish.
The windows where given to me by my father that had them left over from building his house a few years ago.
Insulated garage door should be in this week and everything will be sealed up and ready for closed foam insulation.
