construction type

-2x4 stick framed building
-hardie plank siding, tyvek wrap, 1/2" osb, fiberglass insulation
-ceiling is 2x8 bottom cord with fiberglass insulation

I live in west Tn very humid area.

I would like to put galvalume metal siding on the ceiling and interior walls.
Question is has anyone done this and if so have there been any problems with condensation build up "in the walls" or "ceiling" etc.?

Thanks for any feed back.

Do you have to ground metal siding when its used on the interior walls and ceiling?

Thanks

A trapped air space usually isn't a place where condensation can form, especially if the trapped spaces are filled with insulation, which by it's very nature is designed to trap air for the insulation properties therein.
Warm humid air in contact with cold sheet metal is inviting condensation, not always, but mostly when you least want it. You didn't say why you wanted to line the interior with sheet metal, but if you do, make certain it is well grounded.

Is the 2x8 bottom cord there by way of design load? Pretty beefy, how tall are the walls...you might want to think about 2x6 walls

With the 2x6 walls they provide for better insulation, wiring, and piping.
