I am having a 30x50x16 pole barn being built for my workshop. It will also have a 30x12 lean to on the back side. Currently waiting on the construction to get started and trying to get estimates on electric. I have one estimate back and wondering if it is reasonable.

Finally an update. Pad was completed today. Hopefully they will start the building in a couple of weeks.

Looking good so far. As for the electric bid not sure since I did all my own wiring in my shop. But since I live in the county I didn't need any inspections and my brother does electric inspections for a major power company so if I had any questions I just called him and he told me how to do it.

Thanks. County I live in now requires a licensed electrician on the building permit. I just decided to pay someone to do it all, so it will be done faster.

Funny, it took Creek County 2 years to figure out I lived here and that was even after I asked them for a street address to be assigned.

Thats crazy. Got a call today, materials should be delivered on July 17th. They weren't sure yet when they will get started on it.

Day one of construction is done. They would of been further along if there wasn’t so much limestone.

It always amazes me how fast they put them up.

That's quite the grade you have, how many loads did you have to have brought in?

Posts are 10’ center. Trusses are 5’. They require 2” of concrete screenings under all slabs. Not sure why they require that now. The inspection of the pole holes was them just slapping an inspection sticker on and not even looking at the holes.

That is a BUNCH of shale but it looks like you needed it. But at least you won't have to mow that area for awhile ;)

Day four and the building is completed. Now waiting on concrete and roll up doors, then electrical. I think it turned out pretty good.

Very nice looking building. If I read your electrical estimate right, you may want more than 20 amps for your compressor. My 60 gal compressor uses a 30 amp breaker. Keep the pics coming

After a weeks delay due to rain, they should be able to pour tomorrow. Of course it is supposed to start raining again tomorrow. :eyecrazy:

Concrete is done! A 30 minute downpour in the middle didn’t help anything. The 14’ tall door already came in handy.

I'm impressed. You found someone that actually used rebar and not mesh. :)

Looking good. Should be ready to start using it or is there other plans before use?
