Well its been a minute since i last posted. I have been busy and getting use out of my mostly finished garage working on cars, motorcycles, and various welding projects. As you can see from a post in December, I had sheeted the inside wall and started blowing in insulation. Well… the cellulose insulation was bulging my steel panels were the distance between studs was greater than 2 feet. Since it’s a pole barn style construction, stud spacing greater than 2 feet is common. So… down comes all the interior tin sheeting and out comes the insulation. Luckily I had only insulated half the walls. Tearing all that insulation out was so demoralizing that I almost couldn’t do it. It had to be removed from stud cavity and placed into a bag one arm full at a time and took several days to complete. Hard lesson learned. With the taste of cellulose in my mouth I called the spray foamers. 5 inches of open cell, R19 done in 6 hours. Most importantly, I got to watch for a change. Notice the installed garage doors too!
