Hi guys, My name is J. I have been a member here for a while now, more of just a lurker. I recently moved into a new home and it doesn't have a garage which is great now I can build " MY GARAGE" it will be a slow build bc I do it as I picture it. I am a builder locally and just recently had my architect draw a set of plans for me so I can get my permit from the town. We decided to go with a 32x32 with 12' walls on top of 2 courses of cinder block so it will just be under 14' tall. I will be doing a truss roof that is going to have a 2' tray built into it, so there will be plenty of clearance for a lift or 2 inside. As far as doors I am doing a 16'x9' and a 9'x9' a couple vinyl windows and a man door also. I have not decided on electrical and plumbing yet but that will also get installed. the exterior is just going to get Timberline shingles, cedar impression face and matched vinyl siding on the other 3 walls. attached are a few pictures of what will be stored inside and some other garages that made me decide what I kinda wanted. Like I said this will be a slow process as storm repair is still 7 days a week here after Hurricane Sandy last October! Thanks for looking J.
