Hello all, I'm looking for layout ideas for having a second floor for storage and still having a bay for a lift. Could you do a 32x48x12 and have special trusses in the front to get height for a lift and standard in the remaining to get second floor storage?

2 years ago I was looking at building a garage the same size and was planning on doing attic trusses so that I could have 2nd floor storage. You could combine those with some scissor trusses to get your raised lift area. Or depending on the type of foundation that you are doing, you could start your walls a block or two off of the floor. That is if you are looking at a block type foundation. I was looking into a pole foundation and could have the walls start higher than the floor. This would give you a ceiling a bit higher than the 12' wall.
