I just had my garage built. It’s 32’x52’x14’ with a 10’x52’x8’ porch. It has standard trusses for the first 24’ and scissor for the back 28’. I ordered 5” fiber reinforced concrete for the garage and 4” fiber reinforced concrete for the porch. The concrete contractor had a mix up and didn’t use fiber. There is no rebar or wire.
There will be a car lift in one bay and a home machine shop in the back. Things like a Bridgeport, 13” southbend lathe, a couple 9” lathes surface grinder…
I’m concerned with cracks forming over time. I’m in PA above 500’ elevation and we do get a lot of freezing here.
What your opinion on a solution?
