32x70 Lighting suggestions

I installed T12 fluorescent lighting into my 74x30 5-bay shop with 11' ceilings, back in 2008. They were bought from Grainger. Not that cheap, mostly due to the number of fixtures I used. Lighting galore! White sheetrock surfaces help too...

You won't be disappointed with those lights. I puts 6 of these in my 4 car garage that has a 13.5" ceiling. They are bright!! You may find you'll need some more since your pole barn is so long. I got mine from http://www.warehouse-lighting.com/ . I told them how bright I wanted the garage and they used a computer program to figure how many light fixtures I would need.

I have 3 in my 40x80 shop right now as temp lighting while I remodel finish off inside of the shop crazy amount of light!!! My friend just put up a 30x60 pole building 12' ceiling, he put one 65w 300 equivalent every 12' apart and he has real nice light ( http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 )
I would recommend every 10' apart that's what I plan to do, switched so I can turn on just a few if I want. I also recommend no more than 5 lights per 20amp circuit. Do some research regarding clf's

Ya, I needed them by this weekend so I only waited 1 day. I think/hope 10 fixtures will do the job. The supplier said 8 would do it but I went ahead and got 10.

Planning a job or learning to search a forum is the key to a job well done...
Those fixtures will be nice and bright but you are probably going to have some hot spots based on your fixture count and the square footage.

Bulbs are 5000k T5's. Pics tomorrow night.
The only "Hot spots" after the install were the ends of the shop where the 14' overhead doors are. I couldn't install lights above them because of clearance issues. No complaints though as the shop is very bright overall. I won't be installing any more fixtures.
