I can't delete a whole thread or the first post in a thread. When bmwpower sees this, he's gonna flip his lid. :eek2:

It's amazing but you see that all the time... If they are just a bit smarter they only overpay when the shipping and handling are included. They must not know that Snap-on ships for free if you are willing to pay sales tax. I hope I can hook a few of these oafs if an when I sell some of my tools!

I love it when the old 36 tooth stuff goes for more on ebay. Then the new 80 tooth designs from the Snap On site.

Buyer is listed as from Spain and seller listed as willing to ship "world wide" but still makes me wonder; by the time they pay the over inflated price and shipping; still a good deal for them? Is the euro exchange rate that inflated where all the purchase/shipping costs make it worth it?
I will have to admit though, when I sold stuff on ebay, I did sell things all over the world; japan, greece, etc. and these people were definitely willing to spend money because of lack of supplier issues in europe and in japan. The things is I think Snap-On is available in europe and asia, isn't it?

I'm from Europe to.
Some of the prices in EU are really insane comparing to US standards.
The EUR is very strong to the American $, so buying something on the American Ebay, especially used parts, is now a good deal to people from Europe.

For example: last year I buy in the USA a Digital SLR. With shipping ovearses i pay for it 550$ - in that time the same DSLR in my "shop around the corner" has the regular price ca. about 1000$.

So, if You try to sell something on ebay mark them as shipping Woldwide or "USA, EUROPE". If You do that, then - Im think - You get a better price for the items, because even if somebody from the US would try to buy this thing, he must overbidding people from EU.
Most of the Europeans paying with Paypal this is for us very comfortable option.

Very true Olaf! Are you in Sweden? I lived there in 1997 and it took some time to get used to the cost of things. Norway was even worse!

And I'm from Canada where we look to the US for bargains too; I can only imagine an American shopping in Norway for the first time; might croak from a heart attack!:lol_hitti
