After 35 of looking at a partially this winter I finally got around to doing something about it.
I finished the basement and remodeled our three bathrooms so I finally felt ready to take on the most important room in the house the garage.
The attached two car garage was partially finished where it abutted the house structure the rest was wide open to just imagination and pocketbook limitations

A couple of pictures at the start

Tdex: i'm not sure where Jay heard that you need more posts to post pictures, but that just isn't true as far as i know. how are you trying to post your pictures?

from a laptop, cell phone or Ipad or ???

just an FYI i take pictures on my cell phone, email them to myself then save them to my laptop. (i know it's not the best way to do this, but i'm old and it works for me)

then i click on the paperclip just above in the middle where you are writing your posts and download up to 7 pictures per post sort of like attaching pictures to an email.

ask if you have any questions. welcome to the forum and congrats on finally joining and getting your house done so you can work on your garage.

Jay: i don't know where you heard that you need so many posts to post pictures, but if you go to the introduction thread new members post pictures on their first posts or their next couple. or do tell where you heard that you can't? I know you can't post in classifieds unless you have 100 posts so we can prevent spamming as much as possible, but hadn't heard of other rules about pictures.

Ok. Maybe I've got it
First everything has to come out. Give the good "junk" away and rest goes to the dump including the old workbench my poorly constructed shelving and cabinets

TDEX: the between stuff is what GJ and we are all about. we all love that stuff and want to see how other members do things. there is more than one way to do something even if you think it might be boring post up pictures with as many details as you can remember.

have any questions about future ideas or plans for your garage? looks like you got the hang of the pictures so congrats for sticking with it.

also i haven't been to Penticton since i was 18 in 1973 so i bet things have changed a bit since then. my family used to spend 2 weeks up there every year from when i was 12-18 and i'd spend almost the entire two weeks at the beach or on the golf course.

how do you like living there?

Yup, will some of the in between stuff when get a few minutes to the pics organized
And yes Penticton and the whole Okanagan valley has changed alot since the 70's , but we still fantastic beaches and great golf courses, but now we also have vineyards and wineries, lots of them. Really, it is about time for a revisit.

After I stripped out the old stuff I wired in some plugs in the garage but also in a couple of exterior plugs including one under the eves for the Christmas lights, that one I wish I would have split the plug and put half of it on a switch circuit oh well too late now ..... I put the Xmas lights on a timer
