360 Swivel Air Connector

So I recently got a 360 degree swivel for my air tools. I have it connected to the air hose. So air hose -> swivel -> quick connector.

Looking through the photos here on GJ, I see a lot of people having the swivel hooked up to the tool. I was thinking having the swivel on the air hose would require fewer of them for the number of tools you have.

Anyone does it one way or the other?

I'm a tech, so I use different hoses all day and only use that swivel on a couple tools. Plus our hose ends wear out weekly. So for me it's just easier that way.

Some guys put a 3' "whip" directly attached to the tool, with the quick connect on the other end.

I had one for years, then it started to leak, I still need to take it apart to see if I can replace the O-rings or some thing

Use 3/8" body automotive coupling plugs in the tools with a 3/8" body coupling threaded onto a 3-6 foot swivel whip hose. Now every tool has a swivel. Just buy a quality hose or the swivel will leak. Just remember, the more connections the less air flow.
