Here we go posting this after most of the work is done. It was a really slow build due to the builder have some major life events and not the good kind either. This is day one of progress.

A little back ground. This is my third house all have had small detached garages but current has a two car attached. The wifes car had a home but my tools and lawn mower were taking up the second of the two parking spots. So Im now in a position to build an outbuilding. This will hopefully be a space to build all types of things from vehicles to furniture. I have 3 years in the sign business and 10 years in machining. I currently work in a prototype shop near by.

This would be the man door and the far side. The earth shifted and we are back on a slightly lower slope. At this point im foaming at the mouth and ready to get in there and do something.

I'll try to get you guys up to speed on how and what has happened.

From electric to insulating, sheeting trimming and landscaping the front culvert.
New project from wood to my current waste of time and money a 77 FJ40

That looks like a rusty old girl... Hows the frame??? I looked at one a while back, the guy wanted gold for it and the frame was rusted right through just in front of the rear springs...
Don't get me wrong those are a blast to work on...

Cheers Randy

The frame is pretty good. One spot on the passenger side by the rear spring hanger the inner C of the frame has some rot but the outer is good. Ill patch it when I get the tub welded up. Ive really been hitting it hard here sandblasting small sections of the frame and painting them up. The entire rear bed, fender well and fenders are cut out welding in new metal from a place in Texas.

Nice shop! Any particular reason only went with one instead of 2 (like two 12x10 instead 16x10)?
