36x51x16 Lighting help

First post. Will have a shop build in the correct sub forum here in a bit. Just want to get a jump on this part.

36w x 51L x 16h steel building. Will have 2 12w x 14h roll up doors on one of the 36' ends. Interior will be insulated (white) and will have white wall panels app 7' up.

This will be a car storage/work shop with at least one lift...maybe two.

It looks pretty close to what I want to do. Obviously this is a bit larger than mine, but the concept is the same.

Was looking at the T5HO 8' long fixtures (4 4' bulbs) from HD.

Any help with a plan would be great.

We just pulled the forms off the walls today, and I now need to spend this weeks check on insulation for the foundation and flooring....in floor heat is the next big project...after of course the backfill, the grading, the roadbase, the vapor barrier, etc. Ha ha ha.

make sure you rough that slab in for an inground lift.
and add footers for a 2 post one also

I have a similar shop (32x40x16, white-backed insulation, 8ft plywood paneling), but the doors are on the side walls creating two large bays. I went with six T5HO fixtures with six bulbs each, mounted 14ft off the ground. Two are between the bays and two are on either side, not placed in a particularly optimal fashion (see pic - one row towards the front of the building, where I do most work, one row in the center). They light the place up like the sun. I went with these because putting up fewer fixtures was simpler and it's not terribly difficult to move them or add more with an unfinished interior.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I have been taking lots of pics and will start a build thread. I have already threatened to fire the General contractor (me) on this project 2x because of his mistakes! LOL I keep costing myself $$!!
