Another poster asked this - what is the cost of the total build, in round-about numbers, if you don't mind revealing. Or, perhaps a per square foot estimate....

Very nice looking. About to lose my horse barn for a pool house and pool. Can't store tools and welding equipment in a pool :-(

Building looks great. We just signed with Morton to put up a 42X60. I am actually doing all my concrete work before the building goes up. The building will be built on top of the stem walls because the way my land is. Plus I didnt want wood any in the ground.

Can you please post some more exterior pictures in good light. I'm trying to decide on building colors. I can't find any buildings local to me that are the colors yours is.

Those trucks are pretty neat. The first time I saw one I was helping a friend put up his garage and he ordered everything from Menards. Saw the truck pull up and he got out and unhooked the flat bed. I was scratching my head wondering if he was just leaving the materials on the street and we had to go get them or what, it was a couple hundred foot long driveway. Then I saw him put the forks on and it was pretty neat. I have driven many forklifts before from indoor ones to big lulls but that must take some skill to drive a semi up to a load backwards!

Hi, TRWTOW. The building looks great! For us, working with Morton was the easy part. I can't believe it's almost 2 years since our barn build. Once your build is done, I think they give it a number and people will be able to view it on the Morton website.

Everything scheduled in seamlessly during our 8-9 day build which was originally scheduled for 18 days. We arranged for our own garage doors (CHI - Amish), insulation (local company), concrete (Amish), electrical (us cutting all the holes and pulling wires for outlets, with help putting in the circuit box from local electricians working after hours when work for them was slow), landscaping (us, ongoing), and plumbing including the air lines (us, with help from our friendly backhoe guy and plumber's advice).

The hard work is all worth it in the end!

Chris

Will you be working in it in the Winter or just storing stuff? You could probably get a high-efficiency residential condensing furnace and heat the air relatively cost-effectively.

If you are going to be working in it, I've seen lots of recommendations for gas-fired overhead radiant tube heaters. They keep you and what you're working on warm, and you certainly have the overhead clearance. I'm betting it could serve well as the primary heater too, though they are less efficient than a condensing furnace.
