I really liked the 3800 since joining this forum. So I had to have it. Today Finally installed my two.
Most people know the basic features, the motion sensor on the wall control is a feature that I really like. The opener is very quiet, though mine gets slightly noisier when its close to fully opened and when its close to fully closed, hope thats normal.
It was easy to hookup , alot of the reviews on amazon had some complaints but it was very straight forward IMO, it did take me a while just because I wanted to hide all the wires and etc.
Also I got fancy with the remote light, I have 5" recessed can lights around my garage. I didnt like the look of the 3800 light. What I did was I took apart one of my remote lights, and removed the bulb sockets. Then I drilled a hole on the side and monted a romex connector. Through this a wire fed my 2 can lights which tied in where the bulb sockets got cut off .
I put the remote light fixture in my attic, hardwired it to my lights ( one in the center of each bay) . Also I was able to program both openers to run the one remote light box. So when either door is opened the same unit turns ons the lights. This took a few tries but I somehow I got it.

Now I have other canned lights in my garage hard wired to the switch. But I only wanted two lights to turn on with the opener.
