It's come up before... But I can't find the thread now...

So what do you do - if you want a highlift, with a 3800 - and the builder didn't leave adequate room? Side wall not deep enough to even cut a pocket in - to make the space?

Require's a second collar, shaft gets split, need to kick track back significantly to clear the opener (in this case 10")

(Yes, normally one would fine tune the radius of the track for a smoother transition, unfortunately in this case, needed every inch of the radius to get the door to clear the opening before hitting the beam)

But don't do it like this... Setting the top limit REALLY SUCKED :willy_nil (Hard to press a button on the opener when the doors in the way) Next time I'm putting the opener right beside the drum.

snip the buttons off, and solder some leads on with buttons in another location :p you're already in full custom mode anyways.. might as well finish it off

Never heard of such things...

(that was turning a 373LM remote into a NEMA4 wireless wall station)

But yeah, that was a possibility, luckily limit setup isn't affected by putting it into manual operation... And I had a really long screwdriver with a well placed gap between rabbets :)
