That's a pretty nice deal. For non-member price of $59.99 web says Free Shipping (either to house or to store).

What all involved to become Craftsman Club Member??

I've eyeballed them for a while. I have the cheaper one with the red vinyl seat. In for one.

Shows up as $49.00 today. Where/When did you see #39.00?

I'd say make sure your Craftsman club membership is tied in with your sears.com account. Then, when looking at the item, make sure you're logged in at Sears, I think you should then see the $40 price.

Ooooo...... I see the problem. I couldn't click the link at work. I thought we were talking about the rolling mechanic's seat that matches it.

thanks 4 the heads up on this stool! i literally almost picked one up in person a few weeks ago, but passed, thinking it might go on sale closer to xmas. joined craftsman club, price got to 39, but shipping made the thing 60 which is still fair. for those who have this stool, i presume it swivels?

This is a good find. I bought the $0.02 free SYWR membership a couple of months back so I had it shipped for free. Also, if you add another $10.01 worth of items then you can use the "SEARS21012" for $5 off of $50.

note: it has to be an item sold by sears to qualify. they are a portal for other sellers too, which do not qualify for whatever promotion applies (free shipping, $5 off, etc.). you can see how it's organized by looking for the "sears only" selection when sorting search results.

when i was ordering the stool had i added another 10 bucks i'd have gotten free shipping. of all the strange things i literally could not think of something i really needed so i ended up paying 17 for shipping. that was a first. :dunno:

Use the coupon SEARS2012 and you get it for $34.99 shipped. Thats a steal, just bought two for my work bench, thanks for the heads up!

\*Edit, didnt see the other post about SEARS2012, as for paying for shipping, thats just ridiculous! I bought a 100 piece drill attachment set for $14.99...so I got the attachments, and free shipping, for less than you got shipping? Why didnt you just buy anything for $10 haha?!

what????!!!???

i typed that exact code in and got a prompt saying something along the lines of, "the best discount has already been applied." it wouldn't accept it.

oh well. final price was still 20 bucks or so off regular retail, which is about 25% off, so i'm happy. shipping saves me a royal headache of a trip to the nearest sears store.

I've got 6 of these. Most were purchased several years ago so I don't know if quality has declined since then. The ones I have are pretty nice IMO. They do seem a bit under-built when you're assembling them, and I have a couple that just don't go together square (the design is such that you'd have to spend A LOT of time getting them perfectly square), but they're alright overall. Once assembled they're pretty sturdy, but I'm only 170lbs. My neighbor is 280 and they hold up to him, altho he never looks terribly comfortable on them.

I do agree they're not worth full price, but well worth $40.

My local parts house has this EXACT stool that looks quite old with a Matco or Mac emblem on what's left of the vinyl seat.

I bought the matching mechanics seat (missed out on the $17 deal) and used a $10 off $50 coupon to get it for $40. I love it!

sounds spot on really, oh do they swivel?

yes it swivels.

I just put mine together, took about 10 mins, looks great. The build quality is pretty decent, but like mentioned above it does run a tad small . I'm 6'1 , 195 lbs and I hang off the side a bit, a fatguy would have no business on this thing. Overall great deal at 39 bucks.

got mine assembled, nicely made for the price and for what it is...

...and what it is is a blatant reminder that my body does not look like that of a 13 year old girl!

good lordy, are you guys fitting on the seat? i'm not gargantuan, but i'm not petite either. i feel like this dude.

oh well, it'll fit my wife perfectly, when she ever comes into the garage.

meanwhile i think i'll continue the search for an appropriately-sized bench seat. :lol_hitti

I bought the yellow one like 5 months ago and paid $69 or something like that. Looks good but it's not that comfortable after a long sitting. The cushion needs more padding.

It swivels and goes up and down smoothly. I might get a black one being how cheap it is... But then again we just bought a rather large order of furniture and various other things and the vendor happened to have these: with and without arms.

The price we got for them was so good that I said why not and got one with arms for my workbench area..

Haha nice. I ended up picking up one of the Tractor Supply 12.99 camo stools... Not as nice but it does the job. I'm sure this sale will roll around again in 2-3 months
