Wondering if anyones tried printing a badge/tag? I'm familiar enough to know it's possible but the thickness of an object is what I'm not sure could be replicated successfully.atlas_badge.jpg

Check out this post where @MadeByMiller shows what he did for a similar application:

Im discovering that unless you want an old, worn out, scratched, faded real one. The only options are 'metal-esque' decals. Gross.

The copper idea is tremendous, it's been years since I looked at circuit etching, but yeah it'd be super similar to that. Have no idea how much work or cost would be involved.

I asked Clausing this morning.. they don;t have even reproductions. with Atlas on them.

-Those have fairly clean looking fonts. Most of the 3D printing I've seen has somewhat fuzzy, indistinct edges and the surface finishes are bumpy/wavy. I'm not up on printing but not very impressed with the cosmetic applications I've seen. Those badges from Tom Utley look nice.
