Wondering if anyones tried printing a badge/tag? I'm familiar enough to know it's possible but the thickness of an object is what I'm not sure could be replicated successfully.
Very inspirational thread! I too am very impressed with how you've set up your work space and the stuff you make in there! What a nice comment - thank you very much! I'm just doing the best I can with what I've got.
Im discovering that unless you want an old, worn out, scratched, faded real one. The only options are 'metal-esque' decals. Gross.
The copper idea is tremendous, it's been years since I looked at circuit etching, but yeah it'd be super similar to that. Have no idea how much work or cost would be involved.
I asked Clausing this morning.. they don;t have even reproductions. with Atlas on them.
Those are hawt. And insta *****, the link to those badges actually comes up as instagram claims they are not valid. Ugh.. thanks though I’m looking at his site now.
-Those have fairly clean looking fonts. Most of the 3D printing I've seen has somewhat fuzzy, indistinct edges and the surface finishes are bumpy/wavy. I'm not up on printing but not very impressed with the cosmetic applications I've seen. Those badges from Tom Utley look nice.
