I ordered a Robo3D printer about a week ago, knowing that it had an 8-12 week delivery estimate due to fulfilling kickstarter orders first. Very excited for it to arrive!

Why did you decide on the Robo3d? I'm considering getting one, but have just started the process of considering different machines.

Use SLA, Objet, and FDM methods about 50 times a year for "printing".
Use to run a Dimension machine and early Stratys.

Scanning with cloud points is useful for reverse engineering and convert to CAD/STL and back to printing. Cost can be pricey for occasional use. Often "surface knitting is needed"

Also check out Hyrel for industrial level printers..
