Guys, am I being dense or is there a problem with this 3m half-face mask?

The filters have three cut outs for a bayonet fitting. Two are larger than the third so it will only fit one way.

One side fits ok the other is sitting at a different angle. Are these filters sided like Left and Right maybe.

Any of you guys have experience with these 3m half masks and filters?

While mine is the 7500, it think their the same in this regard. They go on clock-wise and off counter-clock wise. They have one small projection and two the same size. Line up the small one w/ small indentation and give firm twist. They can be a little stiff when new. Make sure the straps are out of the way. There is a little ramp on the two larger projectiles, this allows filter to go on in the correct direction. My two filters look the same and turn in the same direction.

I just physically removed both and swapped them, no difference. Not sure, perhaps a manufacture's defect? Both clock-wise on, right?

Thank you very much for checking. Truth is I cannot remember. I normally use disposables and I just checked quickly before leaving for work earlier. I am going to try again in a few hours and report back.

Seems like this happened to me a few years back and I had put them on counter clock-wise. Probably the case here too.

Many thanks Gents. I was basically being too delicate thinking that I was going to break the lugs. I just now followed Motoretro’s instructions and gave it some commitment and it rotatated into place with a click. Thanks for all your help as always. Mark.
