I have a Speedglas 100. It's got excellent clarity which is why they are so great. Light duty but serves my purpose. Does not have grinding mode.

Graphics are awful, no wounder it's discounted, looks like some 2 year old's wall scribbling. Had a SpeedGlas, first hood I purchased, year later, dumped it for the Miller.

Miller has much better features, more welder friendly, especially the auto on/off as 1 example.

Yep, but a ninety-nine cent can of spray paint will fix it! :lol_hitti

I just looked at the other seven styles they offer. They could use some spray paint too!

My primary hoods are a pair of white pipeliners. One of which I bought in 1976. One has a cheater lens and the other doens't. It used to be that neither had a cheater...At any rate, a white hood is cooler if you are having to weld "close". A lot cooler. You can feel and smell the difference.

I still don't trust those fancy new 'lectronic hoods. I put my trust in genuine glass filter lenses. Some of which are well past being old enough to vote. :)

Oh well, it's time for another old man nap......

Pretty sure you can find a that Speedglas for ~$150 fairly often.

Had one, dont love it. Headgear is nice, electronics seemed fine,
but only 2 sensors = getting flashed easily...

There are other good helmets, im using a USAweld Striker series, Digital. Huge lens, 4 sensors, multimodes, headgear isnt quit as nice still good. Same price, $140.
