What I'm saying is, it doesn't wow me. You park your cars in a ballroom. Big whoop.

I can never figure out the class warfare whenever a picture of a place like this is posted. Sure, it's not a greasy repair garage, but so what. Different strokes for different folks.

I wouldn't call it class warfare. Nothing wrong with having a bunch of nice cars or a nice house, I just don't like the space or the style of the garage.

Maybe it's the fact that it looks like an amateur designed it along with the help of his framer. After they got that massive roof structure built they had no idea what to do with the walls. So they put in that ****.

I personally would like to see the walls made of stone and not drywalled. It would fit more with the large timber roof structure.

But, that's just me.

I don't really see any class warfare in the thread. Just some guys saying it's not really a garage, per se, or saying they just don't care for it.

There's a huge mansion near here on about 40 acres. I hear the owners are worth $200 million. Anyway, you should see the "guard shack" out front, lol. It's like a 4 bedroom nice brick house with a 4 car garage. Sometimes there are Ferraris, Lambos, and Porsches parked near the guard shack.

It's ugly and impractical. Typical more money than brains built that.

When I see this kind of extravagance, I don't wonder about the guys motives... but instead...how did he make his money ?

I think it'd be cool to have a "mini" carport inside the larger structure for each of the cars. Something with their history, specs, colors, spare parts, etc. all coordinated inside a larger structure.

For sale, I wonder if he is getting and the future bride says "SELL" ??

It does nothing for me and I could have alot nicer place with 4 million dollars, including a nice chunk of wooded land, house and garage, in my opinion.

Yup I wonder all the time what I did wrong. :wtf:

At least you have to wonder, that's a positive.

I was born in to an uneducated, dirt poor family that did the best they could in raising 9 of us kids post Great Depression Era. I don't have money now because of my poor choices in life that I made which include: not getting any post high school education, had a poor income working in construction for the first 18 years of my young working life, and had poor financial planning for my "golden years" of retirement now. So, woe is me... sniff, sniff.. My bed, I have to lie in it now.

So, just how did this guy make HIS money anyway, to have BIG spare money to spend on such an awesome garage and cars ?

Kinda like a traditional horse stable (at least the few I've been in): angled car 'stalls' down one side, a wide center isle, and down the other side; an office, a 'teardown room' and 'clean assembly room'. Maybe some bulk storage, too. Double doors on either end. I could definitely go for that.

Typical "wet blanket" statement from someone who obviously has an inferiority complex.:scared:
Because it's not my taste? Money =/= taste. If you look at the rest of the house, you might notice it's somewhat inelegant and lacks consistency.
