Actually, I'm not a fan of the yellow grinders. The new ones toast up WAAAYY too fast.

In this application, zee Germans have it nailed. Bosch being my favorite.

But no grinder is as near and dear to my heart (two sizes too small) as some American made Milwaukee brutality.

I use a 9" with a cutting wheel on for fabricating/deconstruction all the time, mainly b/c they can reach in deeper than a 4 1/2" and quicker, a bit like a portable chopsaw. They are banned on alot of mining sites here in Oz b/c of the injuries they can inflict. If GOD had used one it would of taken him only 4or 5 days max.

My 7in Makita seldoms sees the light of day anymore. Unless I got a big fab job I just dont need it much. I have a 4in and 4.5 in that get almost everything done that I need.

Grabbing the 7 after running the smaller guys will really wear you out too. Funny how the same job(grinding) can be so different just using a different machine. After using the 7 for an hour or two I'll be sore as hell the next day!
