Trying to prep my floor for tomorrow and I was having problems using the big diamabrush from Home Depot to remove drywall mud and some other marks. Figured it'd be quicker to use a hand grinder to do those with a small diamabrush. However, it seems much more aggressive than the one on the big machine, leaving some pretty deep marks in the floor. I didn't put any pressure on it at all, just let it spin up and set it down flat. The only thing I can think of is that the little one has metal plates behind the brushes and the big one doesn't. Anyone know if those metal plates are supposed to be removed?
