I'm not sure how I ended up with 2 accounts but I have $4 in one and $5 in the other.

I got the email, but i believe you need to make a purchase. I bought a magnetic pick up tool.

Here's how to use them!

► Make a Sears purchase.

► At checkout, an extra $4 in surprise points (4,000 points) will be waiting in your account!

► Redeem those points on your qualifying purchase in store or online at Sears.

Ta-da! $4 in surprise point savings!

HURRY! These points are valid 12/27/13 - 1/1/14.

My offer is $5 w/ a $25 purchase.

I missed using the two offers earlier this month through a combination of out-of-stock and hoping the item might be in my stocking (alas, nothing is my stocking, not even coal to keep warm with).

I had so much trouble using my points last time, I didn't end up gettimg anything. Everything was out of stock in my area and their former 'free shipping' program is now 'free shipping on orders >$30' so it wasn't worth it to me. I am forced to shop at home as I am recovering from surgery. Sears...always trust them to do what is contrary to their best interest.

My email states $4 off minimum purchase of $15. I've received and used many of these free points offers, but this is the first time requiring a minimum purchase amount. I've always used them towards Cman pro screwdrivers each time, but I have all the sizes now. I'm also running out of anything Cman that's made in the USA. Already have every size of pry, both pro and regular.

If you got SYW MAX, then it's still free shipping for items priced $10+. Anything under the $10 mark requires a subtotal of $30+.

My latest was $5 on tools, but expired 12/26. Last time I bought a 24 pack of AAA, sale $6.99, out of pocket $2.

Make a Tools purchase of $5 or more.

► Redeem any amount of your current points.

► Unlock an extra $5 in surprise points (5,000 points) on that purchase!

Ta-da! $5 savings in surprise points!

HURRY! These points are valid 12/19/13 - 12/26/13.

Points will apply automatically toward your purchase, in store or online at Sears.

That makes so little sense that I don't doubt it is sears policy.
Many people sign up for the $79/yr Amazon Prime, and then are surprised to find that many low-cost items require a $25 subtotal for free shipping. I'm really surprised that SYW MAX went for so long without such a restriction.

EDIT: Oh btw, if you got SYW MAX, you should read their Saturday spam to see if you scored a free 5,000 points. (YMMV)

Mine was for 5 big ones. SYW is nice, I walked out of there with a 36" clamp and file card for 63 cents the other day.
