less than wednesdays sale, and cost me more. 300.00 spent on these. got my first 6", its a prentiss no.5. weighing in at 145. the c'man weighs 45, and the athol comes in at 85 lbs. The last pic shows the c'man kinda weird handle knob. thanks 4 looking.

So now you have 2 of the 5181's?

I think I have more confusnion on the maker of those BTW:

Other parts are clearly Reed like the screw head and the oil holes, but the base plate is dang close, closer that any Reed or Colombian :dunno:

the other is a 5183 @ 70+lbs.

That is exactly what I was thinking.... And the few vises that do show up it's a scramble between like us 4 guys or so... lol... :willy_nil

Still can't believe I got that 8" Ridgid locally...

P.S. The Craftsman was made by Reed. They went from the round nose to flat nose style in later models. Personally I like the flat nose design better.

I have a Craftsman with the flat face on the handle knob as well, but I think it is newer as it has a metal CM tag.
