I "need" to store one car on a "lift"
The car gets used about once a month for a Sunday drive or a car club social event.
I would probably only use the lift otherwise to do an oil change on the other cars..or perhaps a brake job.
The small car weighs just under 3000 # and the wagon about 4000 #
One question is, can I use a 2 post lift just to "store" the car ?

Probably just get a 4 poster. Easier to install and purpose built for what you want to do.

Any recommendations on Manufacturers?
I have been looking at TRIUMPH NSS 8XLT...seems to be one of the wider ones, 99" between posts...
We may have to keep the wife's convertible under, and my little car over..she only uses her car a few times a week and she is concerned about driving between the posts....
(not to be a chauvinist but, women don't seem to have that width judgement gene)

Call Tony Weber at Advantage Lifts. The use costs on these lifts is near zero. When you sell it someday, it'll be worth what you paid or more if you buy a good one.

Rotary / Direct lift. Challenger / Quality is good as well.

4 post for storing cars. 2 post is a pain the A$$.

Two post aren't a pain in the A$$ when used as intended. They aren't made for storing vehicles. I do a lot of suspension work, lift kits and such, so a two post is what I have.
